What is Benzaclin?
Benzaclin is a prescription acne treatment meant to reassure you of its efficacy using doctors and of course FDA approval. They claim you can see visible and noticeable results within just 2 weeks, and it is apparently effective against 2 different types of acne.
What Ingredients are in Benzaclin?
Another product based on benzyl peroxide, Benzaclin can severely irritate, burn, and redden sensitive or even average skin. Some have described the side effects to be unbearable probably due to the other active ingredient clindamycin. They don't actually give a second type of acne which their product apparently treats. They just name acne vulgaris and mention inflammation. But inflammation is not a type of acne in itself.
What Else Should I Know about Benzaclin?
If other products based on benzyl peroxide, which are quite numerous, have not worked for you, it would be impossible for this product to be any different. It may even be less effective than products like Proactiv, and the side effects may be more severe due to the other active ingredient, clindamycin.
