CBD oil
The term “CBD oil” has become increasingly popular in recent years, and more people are now incorporating CBD products into their daily lives. Cannabidiol (CBD) has undoubtedly become part of our daily routines in many cultures, for the simple reason that regular consumption of CBD oil guarantees a multitude of good effects on health, immune system, and quality of life. CBD oil is also a fairly easy substance to consume in exchange for the associated benefits.
That being said, many of us feel compelled to educate ourselves and connect more deeply about what we put into our bodies and the quality of these products. Nordic Oil is committed to establishing awareness, educating people, and making CBD more accessible. Our belief is to deliver high quality and innovative products to our Nordic Oil Family, worldwide. We hope to be a trusted source for our Nordic Family to be informed and make safe decisions when purchasing Nordic Oil.D and CBG CBD products.
What does CBD stand for?
CBD is the acronym for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is a plant compound from hemp or the Hemp plant that has no psychotropic effects. In Europe, our CBD comes from organically grown and harvested hemp.
What is CBD?
CBD is one of the ‘cannabinoids’, a substance that is naturally present in both hemp and marijuana. In simple terms, ‘cannabinoids’ are active plant compounds that are present in many plants. However, the term cannabinoid is often associated with only one type of plant – the marijuana plant. Cannabidiol (or CBD, as many of you know it), is one of the most popular cannabinoids, present in studies, and therefore and much researched at the moment. It has been used in some cases in the form of medicine or as a wellness supplement.
So far, research and studies have led to the discovery of more than 500 natural chemical ingredients in hemp. However, less than one hundred cannabinoids have actually been identified. Among them, CBD and THC are the best known. Therefore, it is important to consider that because of this there is still a lot of knowledge to be gained from the unidentified cannabinoids.
Other cannabinoids from the hemp plant besides CBD that have already been identified and researched include THC, CBN, THCV, CBG, CBC, CBL, and many others. We look for more information about them, studies, interactions with medications, potential for treatment of diseases (such as anxiety disorders, epilepsy, parkinson’s disease, alzheimer’s disease, chronic pain, use in pregnant women, insomnia, fibromyalgia, use as an anti-inflammatory, interaction with the nervous system and endocannabinoid …and much more).
Or even information about the form of use, which can vary according to body weight, interaction with receptors or other medicine in the body, origin and quality of the product, etc. There is a need to go deeper and spread the information based on study, committed researchers, doctors and clinical analysis.
Each of these cannabinoids has different qualities due to their distinct chemical structures, of which THC and CBD are the most widely studied. Particularly THC, because of its psychoactive properties or intoxicating effects when consumed in large quantities. But unlike THC, studies show that CBD has no psychoactive effects because its molecular structures are aligned differently.
